Manuscript Submission Guidelines
The journal has not authorized any other company to provide submission services. Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts via our online submission system at https://peq.cbpt.cnki.net. This platform is designed to facilitate the efficient upload of manuscript files and to collect all necessary information required for the peer-review process. Upon successful submission, an automatic email acknowledgment will be sent.
Authors are requested to ensure manuscripts do not disclose any state secrets. The author(s) will bear full responsibility if any confidentiality issues arise. For papers sponsored by confidential research projects, authors must submit confidentiality approval from their respective institutions.
Political Economy Quarterly has not authorized any other company to provide submission services. Please log in the only platform for submission, review, acceptance, and editing to complete your online submission.
Publication Charges:
Political Economy Quarterly does not charge any submission, review or publication fees, nor does it pay author fees. Any notifications regarding fees are not from our journal. If you have any questions, please contact us at peq@tsinghua.edu.cn.
Corresponding Author Information:
Please clearly indicate the corresponding author in the manuscript and provide complete contact details, including a postal address, email address, and telephone number. This information is essential for editorial correspondence.
File Format:
Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Hard copy submissions via regular mail are not accepted or processed.
Publication Rights Agreement:
As part of the submission process, authors are required to consent to the journal’s Copyright Agreement. This consent is given directly through the online submission system at the time of submission. While the agreement takes effect only if the manuscript is accepted for publication, completion of the agreement ensures there are no delays during the production stage.
Revision and Resubmission Process:
Manuscripts undergoing peer review may enter the revision stage. Authors submitting revised manuscripts must include:
- A concise summary of changes made
- A point-by-point response to all reviewer comments and editorial recommendations
Revised versions should be uploaded through the online submission system.
Appeals Process:
Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions. To initiate a formal appeal, authors must contact the editorial office. The appeal will be reviewed by a member of the Editorial Board, who may assess the case based on the existing record or seek additional expert opinions. The Board member will provide a signed advisory report, which will be shared with the authors and/or referees along with a final decision. Please note that the appeal process is intended to review the original editorial decision and does not constitute a second round of peer review. The decision of the Editor-in-Chief is final.
